When Manchester City Football Club required a high quantity of picnic tables for their brand new City Square entertainment zone, they turned to Falco for help. Man City required a product that was highly robust and could with strain heavy demand from football day fixtures. The picnic tables form part of the club’s new development for a City Square entertainment zone, a vibrant and state-of-the-art fan experience which is a new concept in British football, located on Joe Mercer Way outside the City store. Thirty nine FalcoBloc benches were used along with another 20 robust FalcoSwing tables to form a seating and ‘perch’ arrangement at the Blue Moon Café. Other facilities include giant LED screens, entertainment and a superb new menu devised with the help of top chef Marco Pierre White.

The Man City v Liverpool rivalry match on the 23rd August 2010 provided the perfect occasion for the grand opening of the City Square. Supporters were invited down to enjoy the new facilities as they braced themselves for the big game ahead.
